"We had a great experience! Jaimie guided us through our engagement session with such ease. She spent time prior over the phone and via email educating us on how to not only pick our outfits but how to make our poses not ‘pose-y’. Our engagement shoot seemed to only last a few minutes, it was never awkward and I know both my fiance and I loved it. Jaimie gave us direction while still allowing our personalities to shine through! Definitely would recommend her to anyone!"

"Jaimie and Kyle did our engagement and wedding photos. They were phenomenal to work with and we absolutely loved how our photos turned out. They were super transparent and paid a lot of attention to detail through with the whole planning process and delivered amazing photos from both of our sessions. They were easygoing, laid back, fun to work with, and relatable, which helped us relax and enjoy the sessions even more. I would absolutely recommend if you need a photographer in the ATL area."

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

"We had the best experience with Jaimie taking our engagement pictures at Piedmont Park! My fiancé and I are clueless in front of the camera but Jaimie guided us the whole way through and it was much less uncomfortable than we were expecting! ... She was so well organized throughout the entire process of scheduling, preparing, and executing the engagement photos and it was very evident that she has a lot of experience... So glad we chose Jaimie for our engagement photos!"

What photography equipment do you use?

We use all the photography equipments!  Haha, but seriously we bring whatever equipment we need to get the job done and then some.  With camera & equipment rentals available to photographers all throughout the United States (and probably the world), we can also rent additional equipment at any time if a particular job requires equipment we don’t already own.

And we've made available our previous client sessions for you to view as inspiration here.

All Portrait Sessions also include a complimentary Planning Call to review location & outfit ideas based on the end product you're looking to create from your images.

Can you photograph my portrait session in Switzerland/ Japan/ Hawaii/ insert cool place for portraits here!

Yes, yes, and yassssss.  We love to travel & service clients all over the globe.  We simply charge additionally for travel + accommodation in addition to our regular collection pricing.

Do you offer any discounts?

There are very few circumstances in which we offer discounts.  We do, however, offer value-added specials from time to time as part of our Consultation Booking Special.

My session location is very dark – Do you bring additional lighting?

YES!  We bring…. ALL OF THE LIGHTS….. (Rihanna, anyone? 😜).  On camera flashes, off camera flashes, and even video lights that act as personal spot lights (so you can ….. shine bright like a diamond…..😝).   We bring lighting equipment to prepare for just about any situation that may or may not arise.  And on the off chance your venue is a dark aquarium or a location that doesn’t permit additional lighting, we photograph with professional grade equipment that specializes in low light situations.

Additionally, if you opt for a night time or later evening session, a security officer fee may also be required depending on your selected Portrait Session location.

Do you edit ALL of my photos?

Yes we do! All of the images we deliver from our Portrait Sessions are corrected for color & exposure – meaning the images will be brightened or darkened as necessary and colors are edited to look as true to life as possible with a little added pop. We then do a natural beauty style edit that includes subtle skin smoothing, teeth whitening, and eye brightening – including the under eye area. We also do our best to light and pose our clients correctly while photographing to create the most flattering images for every skin type, body size and shape – this should minimize the need for additional retouching. Our goal while photographing is to create the most flattering images that shouldn’t require additional retouching most of the time. (Learn more about our Editing & Post Production Process here)

Do you offer additional retouching? Like SUPER skin smoothing, ULTRA teeth whitening, body shaping, object removal, etc?

Your images are initially edited to look as true to life as possible with a little added pop (learn more about the process here). If you require additional custom retouching, we include this service complimentary for art pieces commissioned during your Ordering Premiere (learn more here). Your commissioned art pieces will be retouched to your level of specification to the best of our abilities, and even tinted or toned to perfectly match any room you wish to place your artwork in.

Additional Custom Retouching is currently only available for art pieces commissioned at your Order Premiere and currently unavailable as a stand alone service. If you have additional questions on this, feel free to contact us.

Do you back up our images?

Yaaaaaaas.  And our backups have backups!  While photographing images on the location, our professional grade cameras record identical images to two separate cf/ sd cards simultaneously.  Upon returning to our studio, images are immediately uploaded to our local server as well as well as backed up by the cloud to an offsite server.  The cf/ sd cards are then stored in a fire proof/ waterproof secure vault on site until the images are shared with you in an online photo gallery.  At any given time there are 2-3 copies of your photos stored on and offsite. (Learn more about the Backup & Post Production Process here)

What happens if we cancel or reschedule our Portrait Session?

Rescheduling policies differ based on the particular Portrait Session booked.

For Sessions that require a very particular date regardless of rain or shine, an indoor backup location is required. Additionally, we require a signed photography contract and a retainer payment.  This ensures your Photographer does not accept other photography work on your desired date & time.  In the event of a cancellation or rescheduled Portrait Session, our studio suffers a loss.  If this cancellation/ rescheduling occurs 14 days  or more before your session, liquidated damages include your retainer payment.  If this cancellation/ rescheduling occurs within 14 or less of your session, then liquidated damaged include all monies paid.

For Sessions that require date flexibility in the event of inclement weather, we have an Inclement Weather Policy in place in addition to the cancellation/ rescheduling policies listed above.

Contact the studio for more information for your particular Portrait Session.

FAQ’s for Engagement Sessions

Q: When should we schedule our engagement session?

A: We recommend our clients to schedule their engagement sessions anywhere from a year and a half to 6 months out before the wedding.  This ensures seasonal variety in the images created for the engagement session and wedding.  We offer weekday engagement session availability in order to avoid peak times at various engagement session locations.

Q: Can we book our engagement session on a weekend?

In order to avoid peak times at various engagement session locations, we offer weekday availability for engagement shoots.  Additionally, as we are a wedding photography studio with the majority of our weddings taking place on weekends, we have limited weekend availability.  If you require weekend availability for a local engagement session, we do offer weekend appointment scheduling for an additional fee.  Weekend sessions happen rain or shine and will require a suitable indoor backup location.

Q: How many images will we get from our engagement session?

Our engagement sessions typically yield 100-250 images.

Q: What happens if it rains during my engagement session?

The weather forecast is checked in advance of your scheduled session. Weekday sessions include complimentary rescheduling in the event of predicted inclement weather. Due to limited weekend availability, Weekend sessions must happen rain or shine at your reserved time and require a suitable indoor backup location in the event of inclement weather.

Q: Do you offer save the date cards?

Due to varying tastes, design styles, and the custom design work required for the creation of Save the Date cards, we only offer the digital files to be used for the production of these cards.

Q: When do we get to see our engagement session photos after the shoot?

A: Post production time frames for engagement sessions typically take up to 4-6 weeks after your session.  Expedited post production is available at an additional rush order cost.

Q: Where do we get to see our engagement photos?

We reserve an in person Premiere Night at our studio typically 4-6 weeks after your engagement session for product purchase.  It is at that time you will see the engagement images captured during the session.  If you require a shorter turn around time for your engagement photos, we offer rush order post production at an additional fee.  If you are not local to Atlanta, we offer in person Premiere Nights online via Zoom as well.

Helpful Tips for Hiring an Engagement Photographer in Atlanta for the best Atlanta Engagement Photos!

Atlanta is a great place to live, a wonderful place to get engaged, and for those planning a wedding the options are endless. There a more than just a few great venues in Atlanta as well as great florists, wedding planners, Atlanta videographers and photographers. For most women, their wedding day is something they plan for before they even find that special someone. Thinking about flower arrangements, dresses, hairstyles, wedding picture ideas and locations can be fun and exciting. Planning your Atlanta wedding can be one of the most enjoyable experiences of your life or it could be one of the most stressful. When the wedding day finally comes, it seems like it’s over in a flash. All those things you spent months or maybe even years planning for are over before you know it. This is why when planning for your wedding you want to make sure that you don’t forget to consider all your options for Atlanta wedding Photography.

There are many things to consider when hiring a photographer for your Atlanta wedding. Here are just a few things that will help you along the way.

Atlanta engagement photo locations

Possibly the most important thing to consider is style. While many photographers may be able provide any style you request, some may be better at one than others. If you prefer your wedding pictures to be staged and posed in order to get the best lighting and angles, you want to hire someone skilled in “traditional” wedding photography for your Atlanta wedding. On the flip side, if you prefer a more candid feel to your wedding photos that resembles reality TV more than a magazine cover you would want to hire a an Atlanta wedding photography company that is skilled in “photo journalistic” style. If you would prefer a more balanced mixture of posed and candid you would want to research photographers skilled in “classic style” Also, remember that if at any point you become overwhelmed by any of these choices there are tons of Atlanta wedding planners who know exactly how to help.

After you’ve nailed down what you are looking for in terms of style, the next big question is going to be about price. It’s important to know what your budget is before you get in too deep. You don’t want to waste your time, or your the Atlanta wedding photography companies time. This may be one of the most expensive pieces of your wedding but it’s well worth it. Considering different wedding photographers can be confusing because often there can be a huge difference in price. It’s important to remember when hiring a photographer in Atlanta (or anywhere) that if the price is too good to be true, it usually is. You can’t hit a do-over button after your big day if your pictures don’t turn out perfect. You don’t want to risk not getting exactly what you want because you were trying to save a few bucks.

That brings us to our last important tip. Make sure you get recommendations for any Atlanta wedding photographer you are looking to hire. It’s wonderful when you can find a Atlanta engagement photographers who also shoot weddings too!  A good place to start is with your friends who have been recently married. Find out which companies they used and if they liked their photos from their wedding. If you don’t have any friends who can help, the next best thing is to make sure that you get samples from any Atlanta wedding photography company you are looking to hire. Ask them for multiple photos from different weddings, and see if what they have produced in the past lives up to what you expect to receive for your wedding.

Remember, this is your day, and when the dust settles, it may be a bit of a blur. Don’t make the mistake of not spending enough time and energy considering what your options are and what you want for your Atlanta wedding. Take your time, do your research, and find the perfect wedding photographer for you!

Thanks for your inquiry!  Please check your inbox for an automated response message from us.  If you do not see an immediate email, there’s a chance it might have gone to spam, or your email address above was entered incorrectly.  We typically respond to all inquiries within 1-2 business days, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.  We look forward to working with you for your engagement session Atlanta!

Getting the Best Engagement Photos in Atlanta

Looking for one-of-a-kind, beautiful engagement photos? Our guide covers all the best sites in the Atlanta area to get the perfect shots!

Are you looking to capture the perfect engagement pictures to commemorate this special time in your relationship? Whether you are a couple who loves exploring nature or one who appreciates the cityscapes, Atlanta has it all! In this guide, we’ll give you an overview of the best sites for stunning engagement photos in and around Atlanta.

Consider Your Style

As you plan your engagement photoshoot, be sure to think about the kind of photos you’d like to have. Are you looking for romantic outdoor shots complete with lush greenery or a more fashionable urban aesthetic? Consider the different types of sites and spots around the city that best suits your style and vision for your photos.

Create a Mood Board for Inspiration

When selecting the best locations that would provide the best backdrops for your engagement session, consider the feel and atmosphere that you and your fiancé would like to convey. Creating a mood board can be a helpful way to gather inspiration and ideas. Collect photos of different locations, settings, and general imagery that best reflects what you envision for your engagement photos. That way, when it comes time for your session, you’ll have an organized set of visual reference points to work with.

Location Scouting for Engagement Photos

Consider where in Atlanta you and your photographer will be able to capture the best imagery, from beautiful parks to remarkable architecture. Atlanta has a variety of cool spots to choose from, many with unique features or little-known areas that make for great backdrops for engagement photos, such as Piedmont Park, Old Mill Park, and Cator Woolford Gardens. When selecting locations, consider not only the lighting available at different times of day but also how much diversity you can capture in a given location in the backgrounds of your images.

Pick the Right Photographer for You

Choosing a photographer that is the right fit for you and your partner is the most important element in getting great engagement photos. While style, quality, and professionalism are all important factors when researching photographers in the Atlanta area, it’s super important to review full online photo galleries as well as general portfolios to get an idea of the caliber of work a studio provides. Reviews from past clients are also an important consideration to consider.

Adding on Additional Products and Services

When considering different packages prospective photographers offer, it’s also worth it to ask about various add on options – whether they supply additional products or services such as albums, prints, and or digital files from your session.
