Courthouse and City Hall Elopements
Courthouse ceremonies always start at 2 hours of coverage. Courthouses run on their own schedule, and it’s common to wait well past your appointment time. Two hours means we’re there for the whole experience, from the nervous wait to the ceremony to your first portraits as a married couple, without anyone watching the clock or needing to add time on the day.

Light and Weather, Planned Ahead
The official sunset time assumes a flat, open horizon. In a city park or near tall buildings, the sun slips behind the tree line or the skyline earlier, often 20 to 45 minutes before the listed time, so we plan to finish outdoor portraits about 30 minutes before the official sunset.

Meet Your Atlanta Elopement Photographers
We’re Jaimie and Kyle, the husband-and-wife team behind Jaimie Dee Photography, together with a small group of associate photographers we trust. Jaimie founded the studio in 2008, and we’ve photographed weddings, elopements and courthouse ceremonies across Metro Atlanta ever since.
Our style blends cinematic, classic and candid images with true-to-life editing. We love the relaxed pace of smaller celebrations and the time they leave for the moments that matter to you.
As Georgia elopement photographers based in Metro Atlanta, we photograph elopements throughout the metro area and nearby towns, including Marietta, Decatur, Roswell, Alpharetta and Kennesaw. We’re happy to travel farther, and a travel fee applies outside our usual area.

Atlanta Elopement Photography FAQ
Do I need a photographer for my elopement?
You don’t need one to get married, but most couples are glad they had one. An elopement goes by quickly, and your photos are how you share it with the people who couldn’t be there and how you relive it years later. A photographer also catches the moments you can’t see while you’re saying your vows, and helps you feel comfortable for portraits afterward.
Is 2 hours enough for elopement photos?
For most Atlanta elopements, yes. Two hours covers the ceremony, family photos with your guests and couple portraits nearby. Plan for more time if you want a second location, travel between spots or portraits during golden hour. Our elopement timeline guide shows how a 2-hour day can flow.
How far in advance should I book an elopement photographer?
We book most elopements within about three months of the date, and spring and fall dates go first. Shorter notice can work too, depending on availability. Our team schedules calls Monday through Friday, so a weekend message gets a reply early the following week. The quickest way to check your date is to schedule a call with Jaimie.
How many photos do you get from an elopement?
It depends on how long we’re with you and the collection you choose. Every collection includes professionally edited digital images, and at your Ordering Premiere you can add more favorites along with prints and albums. Our elopement collections page lists what each collection includes.
What should we look for in an Atlanta elopement photographer?
Look through full galleries, not only highlight images, so you can see how a photographer handles a whole day in changing light. Ask how they plan for courthouse wait times and weather, whether they help with posing, and who will photograph your day. A short call is the easiest way to see whether you feel at ease with a team, and you’re welcome to schedule one with us.
