Pre-Planning: Discuss Your Vision & Desired Style
Before the wedding day arrives, it is important to discuss your dream vision for photos and create a timeline of desired shots with your professional photographer. By doing some pre-planning, you can be sure that all the details are secured and ready for a photo session that fits both your expectations and schedule. This planning process will also help you find out exactly how many shots you want taken so that everything is covered on the big day.
Arrive Early to Secure a Place in Line and Avoid Delays
When you arrive at the courthouse, it’s a good idea to arrive early to secure your place in line and avoid delays. Depending on the time of day and season, there may be other couples waiting for their turn in front of the judge. Additionally, having an early arrival allows plenty of time for photographic shots outside or inside the courthouse before the ceremony begins.
Onsite at the Courthouse: Let the Capturing Begin!
Once armed with your marriage license and ready to go, we’ll be there to capture all the joy of this day. We’ll take unique shots of you, your partner, and any special guests throughout the courthouse (based on courthouse rules). Our professional photographers know how to find the best spots around for beautiful photos every time with excellent lighting.

3 Reasons Why We Love Photographing Cobb County Courthouse Weddings/ Elopements on Marietta Square!
1. The Marietta Sign & Surrounding Murals
Marietta Square has some cool artwork around that makes for the perfect backdrop for your elopement/ wedding photos! If you want something more urban with bright pops of color, this will be your jam! This Marietta Mural sign is right next to the train tracks.
2. The Rustic Brick Backgrounds
If you want rustic brick backgrounds, Marietta Square has TONS of opportunities for various colors of painted brick throughout the downtown square area. It’s hard to move in a certain directions and NOT bump into a brick wall!
3. The Gazebo
The gazebo in Marietta Square is in the heart of the square! It’s a popular photo location. If you want your wedding photos to include this iconic gazebo, it’s wise to schedule your photo session at a time of day when the square is less busy! On a typical weekend, it’s not uncommon for there to be a line to take photos in this spot!

We were honored to capture these Piedmont Park Bridal Session images for our dear friends Kim & Jaesen! Below are a couple of highlights from their super fun bridal session!
One of the things we absolutely love about all photo sessions at Piedmont Park are the incredible views this park has to offer! The lake in the background is definitely one of the key features!
Kim & Jaesen were laughing non stop throughout their bridal session! We loved every minute of it!
We can never get enough of these Atlanta city skyline views from inside the park! One of the best spots we love to shoot in is right on top of this gorgeous brick wall & stair steps!
And of course, the best time of day to schedule your photo session is usually just after sunrise, or just before sunset – depending on the time of year and the season we’re currently in! This session took place in the fall! Since fall weather in Georgia is so perfect, couples can book their sessions at sunrise or sunset!

We are SO excited to bring you these Lullwater Park wedding pictures! After Alexis & Neiko eloped, they came to us to schedule some Atlanta wedding photos! Emory University was a special place for the both of them – it’s the place they first met! If you’re looking for wedding photo ideas, or Lullwater Park photography in general, this post is for you!
You wouldn’t be able to tell from looking at this photo, but this bridge was super wobbly and maybe suspended 40 feet up in the air? Alexis & Neiko were so brave! Ran straight to the middle of it to get this shot!
As an Atlanta wedding photography studio, we love it when we get a chance to shoot at some lesser known places in Atlanta! We will definitely be back to Lullwater Park!

Wedding Portraits in Front of the Dekalb County Courthouse
Teresa and Tommy approached us almost a year ago to photograph their intimate wedding. What started as a private affair with solely one or two witnesses turned into a family gathering that celebrated the union of this awesome couple. As Atlanta wedding photographers, we love every opportunity we have to photograph Roswell Mill Park weddings! With a February date, we had no idea what the weather would do, so Teresa and Tommy booked a private house in downtown Roswell, right across the street and within walking distance of the Roswell Mill Park. On the rainy Monday of the wedding, close family members and friends arrived early to assist Teresa in getting ready while Tommy waited in anticipation just upstairs. The two shared a first look, and started the ceremony in the living room area as the rain started to clear up. At the end of the ceremony, the clouds parted, and the sun began to shine through. This gave us an excellent opportunity to photograph family pictures outdoors, and then progress to Roswell Mill Park across the street for creatives. Below are a few highlights from the day with this amazing couple – Teresa & Tommy!
