Montaluce Winery: Where Love Stories Blossom Amidst Vines
In the heart of North Georgia, where the mountains whisper tales of timeless romance, Montaluce Winery stands as a testament to love’s enduring promise. As a renowned wedding photography studio in the metro Atlanta area, we’ve ventured into many venues, but Montaluce holds a special place in our hearts. Here’s our ode to this vineyard’s charm and why “Montaluce Winery Engagement Photos” resonate with timeless love.
Montaluce: A Symphony of Nature and Elegance
Unlike any other, Montaluce Winery is where nature’s raw beauty meets human artistry. The vineyards, with their rows of grapevines, seem to dance to the tunes of the wind, creating a mesmerizing backdrop for couples lost in each other’s eyes.
Moments Captured at Montaluce
Sunset Serenades: As the sun dips below the horizon, the vineyards are bathed in a golden hue, offering a moment that’s both intimate and grand – a favorite for those surprise proposal shots.
Tuscan Whispers: The architecture, echoing Tuscan aesthetics, provides quaint corners and grand archways, perfect for those candid laughs and deep gazes.
Nature’s Embrace: Beyond the vineyards, the surrounding woodlands and mountain views offer a serene setting, capturing the adventurous spirit of couples.
The Montaluce Experience: Beyond Photography
Wine Tales: Each bottle of Montaluce wine tells a story of the land, the climate, and the passion that goes into winemaking. Sharing a bottle post-session (or before!) adds a touch of celebration to the day.
Culinary Journey: The Trattoria di Montaluce is not just a restaurant; it’s a journey through Italy’s rich culinary heritage. What better way to end an engagement session than with a romantic dinner under the stars?
Crafting Stories at Montaluce
Every couple has a unique story, and Montaluce Winery provides the canvas to paint it beautifully. Our experience as wedding and portrait photographers at this venue has taught us one thing: Montaluce isn’t just a backdrop; it’s an incredible canvas for a breathtaking love story.
In the end, Montaluce Winery isn’t just about the photos; it’s about the memories etched in every corner, every vine, and every bottle. And as your photographers, we promise to capture not just images but the essence of your love tale.
If you’ve been searching for Little Gardens in Lawrenceville, GA, you’re in the right place. This 7-acre botanical estate was recently acquired by Wedgewood Weddings and now goes by Natalie House, but it’s the same grounds, the same Georgian-style manor, and the same gardens that have made it a favorite among Atlanta-area couples for decades. We’ve photographed weddings here many times over the years and know the space well, so whether you’re calling it Natalie House or you still think of it as Little Gardens, here’s what to expect and why it makes such a beautiful backdrop for wedding photography.

Overview of Natalie House (Formerly Little Gardens)
Natalie House sits on 3571 Lawrenceville Hwy in Lawrenceville, GA, about 30 minutes northeast of downtown Atlanta. The estate dates back to 1987 and has long been known for its lush, manicured gardens and elegant Georgian architecture, first as Little Gardens and now under new ownership as Natalie House by Wedgewood Weddings. The venue holds up to 250 guests and includes a grand foyer with a sweeping staircase, a Georgian-style ballroom with French doors, crystal chandeliers, and a hand-carved mahogany bar, and dedicated get-ready suites for the wedding party.
Venue Features
Outdoor Spaces
The gardens are the highlight of this property, and they’re beautiful from nearly every angle. Ceremonies here have traditionally taken place outdoors in the gardens, in front of the venue’s water feature (once a fountain, now more of a koi pond), with a garden bridge and winding brick and flagstone paths giving us plenty of spots for portraits before and after.
Indoor Spaces
After the ceremony, the celebration typically moves indoors to the Georgian-style ballroom. The large windows overlooking the gardens let in a wonderful amount of natural light, especially for a morning wedding, and the chandeliers add a nice bit of sparkle for reception photos once the sun goes down. It’s an elegant space on its own, and it flows naturally from the gardens outside.
Benefits of Choosing Natalie House
Privacy and Serenity
One of the things we’ve always appreciated about this venue is how private and tucked away it feels. The secluded grounds keep the outside world at a distance, so your day feels intimate no matter how many guests you invite.
Coordinating With the Venue Team
Since Natalie House is under new ownership, we haven’t worked directly with the current venue team yet. We’ll always coordinate closely with whoever is managing your day to keep the photography timeline running smoothly, and we’d recommend asking your venue coordinator early about any policies that may have changed since the rebrand.
Photographic Opportunities
This is a wonderful venue for photography, plain and simple. Between the gardens, the ballroom light, and the architectural details throughout the manor, there’s no shortage of beautiful backdrops. The front of the house does sit in direct sun for a good part of the day, which takes some know-how to work with, but it’s very manageable, and we’ve always come away with a great variety of images here.
Why Couples Love This Venue
Couples are drawn to this venue for the same reasons now as they were as Little Gardens: a garden setting that doesn’t need much dressing up, an elegant indoor space for dancing the night away, and a location that’s easy for Atlanta-area guests to get to. We’ve had the privilege of photographing many weddings here over the years, and it’s remained one of our favorite Lawrenceville venues for wedding photography.
Planning Your Wedding at Natalie House
Planning ahead always helps you make the most of this venue on the wedding day. Here are a few tips based on our experience photographing here.
Tips for Making the Most of the Venue:
Utilize the Beautiful Outdoor Spaces for Ceremonies:
If the weather cooperates, the gardens make a gorgeous, private spot for a first look before the ceremony. Ceremonies here have traditionally taken place outdoors in the gardens, in front of the venue’s water feature, with the reception moving into the ballroom afterward.
Take Advantage of the Customizable Indoor Areas for Receptions:
The ballroom’s natural light is especially beautiful for a morning wedding, and the chandeliers add a nice touch of sparkle once the evening reception gets going.
Confirm Details With Your Coordinator:
Since Natalie House is under new management, some logistics and vendor policies may differ from what we knew here previously. We always confirm details like access windows and photography guidelines with the venue coordinator ahead of your wedding day.
With a bit of planning and good communication with your venue coordinator, a wedding at Natalie House comes together beautifully.
Conclusion
Whether you know it as Natalie House or still think of it as Little Gardens, this Lawrenceville estate remains one of the most photogenic wedding venues in the Atlanta area. Contact Jaimie Dee Photography to talk about photographing your wedding here.

Rebecca & Harrison met as students at Oglethorpe University. When our Atlanta wedding photography studio asked the happy couple where they would like to shoot their engagement session, they opted for Old Fourth Ward park, right behind their Old Fourth Ward Apartments, located in Atlanta, GA. We LOVE that they wanted to include their beautiful dog Ned as part of their session. Below is a quick interview with the bride and groom to be as well as a couple of highlights from their engagement shoot.
