Amy & Josh were ABSOLUTELY wonderful to work with at the South Kitchen and Bar. As Amy & Josh are already married, they were such a good sport about their styled Athens engagement photos. Any Atlanta wedding photographer would be blessed to work with this beautiful couple. Below is a quick interview with Amy and a couple highlights from their styled Athens engagement photos at South Kitchen and Bar.
Was it love at first sight?
No. We each thought the other was cute, and we instantly became friends.
How did you meet your spouse?
We met at church. He was the drummer, and I was the jaded gal. (We met after I’d endured a rough breakup.)
What was the first thing you remember about that moment?
He had on a Curious George t-shirt, and his eyes were gorgeous.
What attracted you most to your spouse?
His kindness and his devotion to the Lord.
What made this person different from anyone else you’d encountered?
He respected me as a lady and a human being.
Where was your first date, and how long did it take you to get ready?
Honestly, neither of us remember!
Who was the first person you told about your fiancé after your first date?
Most likely my mom or dad.
Who said “I love you” first?
I did. And Josh was “upset” because I beat him to the punch.
How did you feel the first time your spouse told you he/ she loved you?
I felt happy. I knew it was real and true.
When did you know he/she was the one?
Shortly after we started dating. It scared me, as I was only 18, so I broke up with him after only a week of dating! Needless to say, we stayed friends and got back together shortly after.
How did you feel after you had that “this is it” moment?
Scared to death!
Were you nervous about your spouse meeting your family?
Not at all. I knew they would love him.
Who does your spouse remind you most of?
He reminds me of all the silly and sarcastic men in my family. He keeps me laughing!
What’s the one thing about your partner you couldn’t live without?
His love for Jesus. Our family would be out of control if he didn’t constantly put Jesus in the captian’s chair. He’s an inspiration!
